Workshops take place at Kelling Yoga Studio. Each workshop will have a theme to them, giving each day a unique feel. The day will start with a 2.5hr workshop class covering the main theme of the day. It will be slightly slower than a normal class and delve deeper in to the poses giving a chance to make real progress on the day. The day will start at 10am and we will break for a light lunch around 12.30pm. In my other life I am a caterer so can happily promise you a delicious vegetarian lunch that will be light, seasonal and locally sourced (see below for more details and pics!). In the afternoon we will start again at 1.30pm and take a leisurely hour and a half to release into recuperative poses. There will also be some pranayama (breathing exercises), guided meditation which follows the theme of the day and a long, deep Savasana (relaxation). Once we have roused ourselves from the blissful relaxation you will have the option of staying for teas and cakes - again provided by myself - or if you need to head off, you may. We will all depart around 3.30pm.
To book any workshops please call me on 07776426714 or email me at email@example.com to reserve your place. There are only 14 places available on each day. I will ask for payment via bank transfer when you book. Your place is confirmed once payment is received and will not be refunded within 2 weeks of the workshop unless we can fill your space. The cost of the day is £45.
The workshops will take place at the beautiful Kelling Yoga Studio. The studio is spacious, light and airy. There is underfloor heating and plenty of yoga equipment.
Yoga in Norfolk in Holt - Kelling is a lovely village just outside Holt on the North Norfolk Coast. There are plenty of gorgeous walks, beaches, pubs and cottages close by if you would like to make a weekend of it. If you want some pointers, please ask me and I will be happy to recommend places to stay.
I am delighted to be offering five new dates for 2020. The themes are followed through with ideas, asanas, pranayama and meditations and even into the delicious lunch! Please note the following dates.
The themes for the 2020 dates are yet to be decided but please see below for themes that we've enjoyed previously. Watch out for the updates as the themes reveal themselves to me!
Saturday 15th February - Base Chakra Practice.
We will work on the root chakra by focusing on the feet, knees and legs. Expect lots of standing poses and balances interspersed with lots of resting poses! We will examine what this chakra represents in our lives and our relationship with our groundedness.
Saturday 25th April - Intuition
We will explore the 6th or third eye chakra and how it relates to our yoga practice and our lives. We will balance the 2hour morning practice with a good 2hour restorative, pranayama and meditation session in the afternoon. This will be a fascinating day and as always a delicious lunch and tea will be provided.
Saturday 13th June
Saturday 12th September
Saturday 28th November
Here is a taster of what we got up to last year..!
Saturday 23rd February 2019 - Heart Chakra Practice
This day we focused on opening the heart and so backbends were inevitably involved. We meditated on the beautiful themes of the heart chakra - Love, Gratitude, Forgiveness, Peace, Compassion, Self Love...
Saturday 4th May 2019 - Springtime Detox and Rejuvenation
For Spring rejuvenation we focused on lots of twists to flush the liver and kidneys, flowing standing poses to energise and honour the Earths blossoming energies and in our mediation we explored the mantra "I trust the path I am walking".
Saturday 15th June 2019 - Throat Chakra Practice
This day was a wonderful exploration of this chakra and its importance in expressing ourselves. In our asanas we worked on releasing stress and tension in our necks and shoulders and explored some interesting Bandhas relating to the Vishuddha Chakra.
Saturday 7th September 2019 - Reawaken your Practice
On this day we focused on re-centring ourselves and so the practice veered towards the Solar Plexus Chakra and reflecting on our sense of self, self-empowerment and remembering to honour our 'gut instinct' or Enteric Nervous System. We therefore had lots of core work which is so useful for our practice in general
At lunchtime I will provide a beautiful, vegetarian lunch for us all to enjoy! (Check out the Gallery for pictures of past lunches). As a caterer I delight in making delicious meals that will nourish body and soul. Food brings immeasurable joy to most people and can make an occasion. For these workshops I will use seasonal and local ingredients to make a light lunch and then when we have finished the day we will indulge ourselves with tea and a slice (or two!) of cake. If you have any dietary requirements please let me know when you book. If you would like to know more about my other life as a caterer please clink on the link below to take you to my other website.
